This Friday’s major release is YRF’s Rani Mukerji starrer HICHKI along with Manish Paul’s BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP and Rajpal Yadav’s SHAADI TERI BAJAYENGE HUM BAND. The front runner is obviously going to be the realistic HICHKI, more so at good cinemas of big cities, while the hilarious take on contract killers BAA BAA BLACK SHEEP should find its fair share of admirers. The third release, SHAADI TERI BAJAYENGE HUM BAND, will find the going tough.

The major release of last week, Raj Kumar Gupta’s Ajay Devgn, Saurabh Shukla and Ileana D’Cruz starrer, RAID, which started on a slow note on the opening Friday (9.75 crore), picked up beautifully, as the days progressed, ending the opening weekend netting nearly 40 crore. The way the film has held up during the weekdays, it is on way to a hit status, fingers crossed. RAID has also done well in the overseas (especially US) grossing $1.8m with £75,000 from UK and $425,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (16-18 March).
