Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week: 28th Dec 2018

This week’s new release, Dharma Productions, Reliance Entertainment and Rohit Shetty Picturez’ Ranveer-Sara starrer is all set to open to a good start (bumper in Mumbai-Maharashtra) all over. The film, which looks like a cross between SINGHAM and ROWDY RATHORE, is carrying good reports and appears to be a winner!

 

Checking out last week’s mega release, Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif & Anushka Sharma starrer, ZERO, the film belied expectations, due to a radical second half and mixed reviews, and despite a good to decent 20 crore opening day and a mid week Christmas holiday, ZERO appears to be heading for a loss making fate as the opening week seems to be in the 85-86 crore range. ZERO has also under-performed (for an SRK movie) in the overseas grossing $5m with £315,000 from UK and $1,035,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (21-23 December).

Adding another 9 crore, 2.0 (Hindi) has netted 185 crore in three weeks from India and is a super hit. The film is also an overseas super hit, grossing £730,000 from UK and $5,300,000 from the US.
