The coming Friday will witness a host of releases in the form of Anees Baazmee’s Anil-Arjun starrer MUBARAKAN, Madhur Bhandarkar directed INDU SARKAR, Viacom 18 Motion Pictures’ BAARAT COMPANY and last but not the least, master director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s RAAG DESH. Needless to add that the front runner is going to be MUBARAKAN but then INDU SARKAR and especially the chillingly realistic patriotic historical RAAG DESH are likely to make a mark in the long run.

MUNNA MICHAEL AND LIPSTICK UNDER MY BURKHA
Meanwhile, last Friday’s Sabbir Khan directed Tiger Shroff, Nawazuddin Siddiqui and Nidhi Agarwal starrer, MUNNA MICHAEL, saw a decent opening weekend, netting 22.50 crore from India and is maintaining at mid-level collections during the weekday. The film will have hold at about the same level during the second week also, to be termed a success.
The other film of the same week, Prakash Jha’s Ratna Pathak and Konkona Sen Sharma starrer, LIPSTICK UNDER MY BURKHA, a limited release venture, saw a phenomenal pick up after a dull opening day, netting 5.75 crore. Given the low investment ( 5.50-6 crore), the film will recover it just from the Indian theatrical run.

JAGGA JASOOS has also been rejected (barring to an extent US) in the overseas grossing $2m with £180,000 from UK and $790,000 from the US, till the second weekend (21-23 July).
