Bollywood Box Office Report Of The Week: 28th July 2018

The week’s prominent and awaited venture, national award winning film (for best actor-Irrfan) PAAN SINGH TOMAR’s director Tigmanshu Dhulia’s Sanjay Dutt, Jimmy Sheirgill and Mahie Gill starrer SAHEB BIWI AUR GANGSTER 3 could not quite manage a good start at the turnstile. The other new film T-Series and RD Entertainment’s NAWAABZAADE fared worse. However Tom Cruise’s Hollywood franchise MISSION : IMPOSSIBLE- FALLOUT (MI 6), which also released this Friday saw a good start and will pose a few questions to SAHIB BIWI AUR GANGSTER 3 as MI has its loyal set of fans, globally, including India.

 

Checking out Dharma Production’s Shashank Khaitan directed Ishaan and Janhvi starrer DHADAK, the film maintained beautifully during the weekdays, post a good 33 crore weekend (the best ever for a newcomer venture) and is sure to end the opening week netting in excess of 50 crore and a hit plus status. DHADAK has also impressed in the overseas grossing $1.35m with £110,000 from UK and $330,000 from the US, during the opening weekend (20-22 July) itself!

The Vidhu Vinod Chopra Productions and Rajkumar Hirani Films’ SANJU is also on a superb (mindblowing in US) overseas run grossing nearly $20m with £1,260,000 from UK and 7,650,000 from the US, till the fourth weekend (20-22 July).
