The coming Friday is almost an open week with films like, Kamal Haasan’s VISHWAROOP 2 (dubbed), Sachin Gupta’s PAKHI, LASHTAM PASHTAM and UNMAAD. The front runner will obviously be Kamal Hassan’s VISHWAROOP 2 which will find its patrons, while other releases are likely to go unnoticed as the audience awaits the much anticipated Independence day clash between Akshay Kumar’s GOLD and John Abraham’s SATYAzMEVA JAYATE.

Last Friday witnessed three diverse releases, Irrfan Khan’s KARWAAN, the Anubhav Sinha directed Rishi-Taapsee starrer MULK and T-Series’ Anil, Aishwarya and Rajkummar Rao venture FANNEY KHAN. The best first day performance came from FANNEY KHAN but as the weekend progressed, the trend started reversing, with KAARWAN and MULK improving with each passing day. Monday onwards it was MULK which came out on top and that is what the first week result will be. As things stand MULK may end at around 12 crore, KAARWAN around the 11.50 crore mark and FANNEY KHAN quite far back at around the 10 crore mark. But these are all estimated totals and the exact picture will emerge once theatre wise collections are out.
