Boman Irani from behind the camera
Boman Irani from behind the camera
Once a photographer always a photographer! Boman Irani captures moments when he is in his own space. Natural surroundings and natural lighting seems to be his personal favourite.
For all who have known him before he charmed us in MUNNBHAI MBBS and terrorized us with his nasty piece of villainous work KHOSLA KA GHOSLA, Boman was [it appears is still] passionate about theatre and being behind the camera.

All who have known him since his entry into Bollywood have been regaled by his work in front of the camera. Those who have known him from before never seem to be amazed by his maturing talent behind the camera.
Here are a few candid Instagram moments (clockwise) shared by Boman Irani over the last six months.
Never miss a great opportunity, great light great subject. That’s Neha Dhupia to the top left. Faces are his favourite: Shabana Azmi captured in this playful moment and Naseeruddin Shah. The good-looking and eternally fit Akshay Kumar caught in a candid moment.
And finally this beautiful visual at River Tyne in England captured when he was sitting vacantly across the river only to see this mix of nature in God-made lighting!
Keep them coming, Bomani!
Kangana is changing the face of Bollywood!
The Kangana Ranaut legal spat with Hrithik Roshan seems to be getting most of the industrywallahs into ‘their space’. The fiery actress seems to be content with the way her legal team is handling the matter. For her part, she too comes with some witty one-liners when probed by the media.

At a recent media interaction, the actress was asked, “Kangana, if someone has to propose to you, what he should do?” She replied: “If a person wants to propose to me, well, good, at least they won’t be sending me notices anymore. I want to clarify this. Send flowers with Ghalib ki shayari. I will consider.”
By now the lady has been called all sorts of names and though she may be hurting from the inside, the lady has shown nerves of steel to sail through so far. No one knows for sure who is right here, and who is wronged. But going by the allegations and counter-allegations being hurled, I salute Kangana. I salute her for her spirit to take the fight head-on, not just cower and let the issue pass like most Indians do. Too long our so-called plastic heroes have dominated the heroines, showing them their foot.
Kangana is changing the face of Bollywood. It is no longer ‘Baap Ka Maal’!
Jimmy Sir, Cop it off!
It’s getting a tad annoying to see such a wonderful talent waste in a manner like this. Jimmy the actor is a bundle of talent. In just a simple scene in MUNNAHAI MBBS he made us cry buckets. That’s just one of the movies his talent has been experienced.
|TIME TO GET OFF THAT UNIFORM, JIMMY SIR|
But with the choice of films of late, Jimmy is getting stuck in his police uniform and the mannerism he has to portray on screen. That, I would say, is not a nice way of making the best of ones God-given talent. It looks as though he walks into sets of other movies, while shooting for the previous one.
While Jimmy has made an impact as a cop in A WEDNESDAY (that role has now been done and re-done and is being kept on getting done), he seems to have gotten stuck in that mold. Or rather, film-makers prefer to see him as a cop. It’s done and dusted, Jimmy Sir. Get into the skin of some exciting characters. You deserve it. You have it in you.
As SP Tejaveer Singh in the 2015 film UVAA, Jimmy’s role was pitiable. Same was the case two years before that film as Dy Commissioner Yadav in RAJDHANI EXPRESS. That was Leander Paes’ debut film. Mercifully, the tennis star double-faulted on debut and we did not see him again on screen.
In TRAFFIC last Friday, for a Jimmy fan like me, it was painful to see Saheb don the police uniform yet again.
Jimmy Sir, I would love to see you on screen as an actor who challenges himself in every role he plays. Time to let go of that uniform!
