Bourne series takes a leap from big screen to television

The Bourne franchise gave us fans an insight about how the world of a CIA operative works and the films that followed told the story of a CIA operative gone rogue and forgetting about his life, he then goes up against the very people he was hired by while recollecting the events of his past and coming to terms with it.
Films such as BOURNE IDENTITY, BOURNE SUPREMACY and BOURNE ULTIMATUM developed a cult following as Matt Damon wowed the audiences with his performance worldwide which concluded with JASON BOURNE, he played the titular character which showed the end to his storyline in the film and since then fans have been eager to know what other projects were the CIA involved in along with Jason Bourne.
It was announced today that USA Network has ordered a pilot of the show titled, ‘Treadstone’, which explores the origin story and present-day actions of the titular CIA black ops program that created Jason Bourne.
The news will certainly excite the fans of the franchise which tells how and why Treadstone operation came into being and will also delve deeper into the story narration which the TV platform provides in abundance.
The change of format from the big screen to the small has worked well for a number of projects which include, DAREDEVIL, a blind superhero/ attorney from Hell's Kitchen, Fargo, Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D and many more.
The move seems to been perfect as the show will take on the new wave of TV production which has seen a surge of attention with big movie studios commissioning their movies to the smaller screen.
The series follows sleeper agents across the globe as they’re mysteriously “awakened” to resume their deadly missions. From Universal Cable Productions, Treadstone is written and executive produced by Tim Kring.
Ramin Bahrani, will direct the pilot, and will also serve as an executive producer.
Ben Smith and Jeffrey Weiner will serve as the executive produce for the show.
