This Friday’s two prominent releases, namely Saif Ali Khan’s business crime drama BAAZAAR and Sharman Joshi’s suspense thriller KAASHI, saw an ordinary response at the ticket window. As was obvious BAAZAAR was much better (comparatively) due the metro appeal (15-20 percent), as opposed to KAASHI(5-10 percent), but both the films will have to up the ante, to harbour some chances of survival.

The remaining releases of the week, Neil Nitin Mukesh’s DASSEHRA, Gautam Singh’s GAON- THE VILLAGE NO MORE and Shakti Kapoor’s THE JOURNEY OF KARMA etc., well, the lesser said the better!

Meanwhile, last week’ s Ayushmann, Sanya and Nina Gupta starrer BADHAAI HO steamrolled its release partner NAMASTE ENGLAND, netting 65 crore while the Arjun- Parineeti venture barely managed 8 crore. Needless to add that BADHAAI HO is a sure shot super hit while NAMASTE ENGLAND an unmitigated disaster. The picture is more or less similar in the overseas too!
