Power-house performer Rani Mukerji is back with a bang, the trailer of her latest film HICHKI has been garnering praises not only for the topic on which it’s based but also for Rani’s heart-warming performance in it. Rani is playing a teacher in HICKI who suffers from Tourette syndrome. But she succeeds in converting her weakness into her strength in the film.
Talking about the inspiration behind playing a teacher in the film, Rani said, “Our teachers were very friendly, informal and wouldn’t heap a lot of academic pressure on us. We had toppers, students who did well and students who would barely manage passing marks. But our teachers were never harsh on those who would fail or struggle to pass. I remember growing up in a manner where we were never forced to chase high academic scores all the time. We had fun studying. This realization of mine, I have tried to reflect in HICHKI through my character.”
Interestingly we came across Rani’s class group picture from her school days and we bet you won’t be able to identify Rani in a picture quickly perhaps because the picture apparently is from her nursery class:
Have a look at the picture and see if you are able to spot Rani in it:

Produced by Maneesh Sharma, Rani’s comeback film is directed by Siddharth P. Malhotra. The film will release next year on February 23.
