After teasing for a week about her latest song, Ariana Grande has finally released her latest single 7 Rings. The song is meant to be a friendship anthem, Grande told her fans on Twitter ahead of the song's release. Ariana compares the song with her last megahit Thank U, Next which was a big thank you song to her ex-boyfriends.
Directed by Hannah Lux Davis, Ariana Grande flexes her body in the kitchen, as she throws a wild house party. The tunes of the song borrows from the classic tune My Favorite Things from the 1959 musical THE SOUND OF MUSIC. The music video features Ariana's friends Tayla Parx, Rim Taya Shawki, Victoria Monet, Njomza, Alexa Luria, and Courtney Chipolone.
The song begins with Grande describing some of her favorite things, which includes, breakfast at Tiffany's and bottles of bubbles, Girls with tattoos who like getting in trouble, lashes and diamonds, ATM machines.
Ariana Grande had hinted about the song 7 rings on December 1st shortly after releasing Thank U, Next. Following her break-up with Pete Davidson, she noted that it all started when she and some friends had a little “too much champagne” and headed to Tiffany’s.
Ariana Grande is getting ready to embark on her Sweetener world tour, which kicks off March 18 at Times Union Center in Albany, New York. Ariana will make her Coachella solo debut as the festival’s Sunday night headliner. It was a momentous announcement, as Ariana is Coachella’s youngest headliner ever, and only the fourth woman to headline the festival, following Beyoncé in 2018, Lady Gaga in 2017 and Björk in 2002 and 2007.
