A court hearing complaints of immigration fraud against Punjabi pop singer Daler Mehndi has allowed him to visit Pakistan for 15 days.
Daler, whose passport is with the court here, has been allowed to go to Pakistan for staging shows later this month. His passport is being released.
Counsel for local police, which had registered a case against Daler but subsequently described him as innocent, said Daler was not wanted for investigation and could be allowed to go.
Daler is an accused in a case of human trafficking. Complainants have alleged he took money to help them take abroad as part of his musical group.
Such people would stay back in western countries as illegal immigrants.
