DANGAL's second song 'Dhaakad' is all about Girl Power!
Nitesh Tiwari directed DANGAL starring Aamir Khan has created enough curiosity among the viewers with its trailer and posters. In the film’s first song we saw Mahavir (Aamir Khan) as the ‘Haanikaarak Bapu’, who is trying to make his daughters follow the strict routine of exercise and discipline needed in the life of a wrestler.
Now yet another song ‘Dhaakad’ from the film has been unveiled. ‘Dhaakad’ features Aamir as Mahavir Singh Phogat with Zaira Wasim, Suhani Bhatnagar, Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra playing his daughters.
In the second song of the film, ‘Dhaakad’ we see the girls reaping the fruits of their hard work and dedication all thanks to their ‘Haanikaarak Bapu’. To everyone’s surprise Mahavir is confident of letting his daughter challenge the boys at akhaada, a game played majorly by males.
Mahavir’s daughter is fearless and fights fiercely with her male opponents. The male opponents who think of her to be like just another girl are taken by surprise at the strength and fighting spirit of Mahavir’s daughter.
In the song Mahavir is seen cheering for his daughter from the sides of akhaada and the proud feeling of a father is seen vividly on his face. With akhaada which means bold and fearless, we get to see the hardships and the inspiring journey of wrestler Geeta Phogat, on whose life DANGAAL is based.
Dhakaad is a song for all men out there who thinks that women are the weaker section of the society. The song will also definitely inspire all women out there to rise above their situation and show the world what they are really capable of.
