Previously it used to be a one off thing with a SPIDERMAN, FAST & FURIOUS or a JUNGLE BOOK defeating the desi movies, but lately the frequency has increased alarmingly and after AVENGERS : INFINITY WAR, it is now the turn of DEADPOOL 2, which has decimated all the new releases, KHAJOOR PE ATKE, HIGH JACK and ANGREZI MEIN KEHTE HAIN.

Coming to the details, while DEADPOOL 2 saw a 40 percent start, all the above mentioned Bollywood releases were below the 10 percent mark!

Meanwhile, the Meghna Gulzar directed Alia Bhatt starrer, RAAZI, saw a great opening week netting 57 crore (to be validated) from India and is on way to a super hit status. The film has also grossed $2.75m from the overseas, at the end of the first week.

Concluding with Umesh Shukla’s Amitabh-Rishi starrer, 102 NOT OUT, the film saw a rock steady second week of 14 crore, thus netting 42 crore in two weeks from India and is now sure to end up as a semi-hit. 102 NOT OUT has also grossed $2.50m in the overseas, thus far.
