Mumbai Academy of Movie Images prominently known for its short name MAMI has roped in the talented actress as its chairperson. As per a report in Mumbai Mirror, the actress is appointed as the chairperson with the beginning of new year.
Kiran Rao was the former chairperson of MAMI but stepped down from the post to focus on her film project. Padukone was last seen in the Sanjay Leela Bhansali historical drama PADMAAVAT with Ranveer Singh and Shahid Kapoor. Her next project CHHAPAAK, based on acid attack survivor Laxmi Agarwal, will also see her turn producer for the first time.
