PADMAAVAT has been one of the most controversial movies of the decade as the movies sparked a lot of controversies that led to a lot of communal disputes. With protests and ban in most of the states of India, the film did not release in particular states. The movie faced protests for its content that hurt sentiments of some of the Rajput communities. Nevertheless, the film cut through the legal disputes and garnered a lot of love and appreciation from critics and audience not only in India but also in overseas. Undoubtedly the movie had to be a massive hit for its extravagant performances and lavish sets, after all, it comes from director Sanjay Leela Bhansali.
Now that the movie has earned a massive success, the film has been selected at 2018 Taipei Golden Horse Film Festival and this marks one more achievement for Mr. Bhansali.
