Tell us about your journey in Bollywood?
I always had this desire to become a pilot but once when I was visiting Mumbai to participate in a contest, an agency saw me and started sending me audition calls. Soon after, I started modeling and doing commercials. And one fine day, I was offered a role in M.S.DHONI, even the critics appreciated my performance in the film. I am happy I have made it this far without any godfather.
How do you handle critics?
I have yet to prove myself. Even if I were to hear criticism about my performances, I would try to evolve and work on my weaknesses. Uncalled for criticism hurts. But I am a positive person and will learn.
You will be romancing Tiger on screen how difficult or easy was it?
It was much easier to romance [Tiger]. Trust me, if you don\'t know someone and you have to romance... like I remember Sushant. The first day I met him when we were shooting for the song ‘Kaun Tujhe’. I had to romance him and I didn\'t even know him. It\'s a little awkward.
You are called as national crush of India, you are internet sensation how does this feel?
I feel good. I didn’t know I am called National Crush. In fact I don’t see my films or even look much in the mirror. I like to be natural.
There are talks that you have replaced Shruti Haasan in the much awaited project SANGAMITRA
I don’t know about replacing Shruti. All I know is that I will be doing this trilingual film which is being shot simultaneously in Telugu, Tamil and Hindi. I am happy to be a part of this film.
What genres are you open to, what is your dream role?
I am still new in the industry. I am yet to learn a lot from people. I want to play wonder woman. I want to do woman oriented roles, strong and powerful roles.
