Tim Burtons latest live action animated classic is heartbreaking yet joyful

On Wednesday Disney released the first trailer for the live-action remake of DUMBO. Tim Burton is directing the animated classic, starring Michael Keaton, Eva Green, Colin Farrell and Danny DeVito. Though plot details are being kept closely under wraps, some suggest that the film follows the original storyline, wherein an act featuring the Dumbo an elephant with large ears revives a struggling circus with a flying act.

Following the recent remakes like CINDERELLA, MALEFICENT, JUNGLE BOOK and BEAUTY AND THE BEAST, Disney's latest live-action DUMBO have something heartbreaking yet joyful to offer this time.

The film is based upon a storyline written by Helen Aberson and is a full-length adaptation of Walt Disney's 1941 animated film of the same name written by Otto Englander, Joe Grant, and Dick Huemer.

Tim Burton, best known for ALICE IN WONDERLAND, CHARLIE AND THE CHOCOLATE FACTORY AND EDWARD SCISSORHANDS. DUMBO which opened in 1941 and also won an Oscar for scoring of a musical picture, as well as a nomination for original song.

DUMBO is set to release on March 29, 2019.
