Even before its release BEGUM JAAN declared tax free in Jharkhand
Vidya Balan’s upcoming film BEGUM JAAN has been declared tax free in Jharkhand even before its release. Jharkhand’s Chief Minister Raghubar Das made the announcement recently about this development.
Since BEGUM JAAN is the first film major Hindi feature film to be shot primarily in Jharkhand, the state government has awarded a subsidy of Rs. 2 crores towards the cost of production of the film.
Written and directed by Srijit Mukherji, BEGUM JAAN is a Hindi remake of Bengali film RAJKAHINI directed by the same director. The film will hit the silver screen on April 14.
