He was seen in two movies but somehow that didn’t fare well at the box office.
But that didn’t make him stay away from people’s heart as he is still one of the most loved actors of all time..

As he is making his debut with Alt Balaji’s The Great Indian Dysfunctional family we spoke to Barun exclusively over his decision of doing a web series and what kind of shows he watches on web and if he wishes to get back to television and more.

Speaking about doing web series he said,” Digital medium is one thing that is doing wonders and the script really excited me, “I have seen that every family has issues and how they over come is what the show is all about, it relatable, it’s funny, it’s quirky and to be honest there are very few traits of Barun in the role that I’m portraying on web. It’s not that I am very much like him but some emotions I do relate to.”

“I do watch few series which are the usual ones but to be honest I am not addicted to them, I watch during leisure time, having said that web series is really doing well and the audience is different so the content has to be different and this story is not just for a particular age group it is for all.. “ says Barun.

As Barun is a huge star and his shows have been extremely popular, the re-run episodes of Iss pyaar ko.. is still being watched by many and he has social media going gaga over him, his films didn’t do that well. When asked Barun does it disappoint him and how did he take the challenge of giving the fans what they want, to which Barun said, “ I am thankful to all my fans for everything the love, the commitment they shower and I try myself to not repeat as much as possible, I play various be it in films or Tv so that my fans get to see me in various avatars. Yes my films didn’t do well it’s disheartening but I got to play various roles and I shall keep doing so. I dont want to typecast myself.”

Lastly when asked him what is that one role he would want to play on screen to which he said,” I don’t know which one as I feel I want to do everything, I have been angry young man, I have done a bit of comedy, I want to try something which has hard core action.” The great Indian Dysfunctional family to stream on Alt Balaji from October 10.
