EXCLUSIVE: Sonam Kapoor says it's commendable if people stand up for what they believe in
Sonam Kapoor, the ever-so-loved actress has launched an app of her own, where one can get easy access to her in real time. However, here’s taking some more insight into what the actress feels about the app in an exclusive interview. Psst. She revealed her go-to look as well!
Here are the excerpts:
Do you think launching an app will help people know you're more than a fashionista?
I'm an actor and hope people think that.
What side of you can we see through the app?
The concept of interacting with real-time fans sounds interesting. But do you fear crazy, obsessive fans? Especially because it gives them easier access towards you...
That's fine. Access is always good.
You are known to speak your mind. Do you feel that's a drawback somewhere?
No. I don't think it's a drawback to speak your mind. I think it's commendable if people speak their mind and stand up for what they believe in.
What's the reason behind keeping powder pink in the background?
No reason. I just like that colour.
After the success of NEERJA and now launching your app, can we say that 2016 is the year for Sonam Kapoor?
I hope every year is the year for Sonam Kapoor.
'Don’t think it’s a drawback to speak your mind'
What can we expect from you further?
Sign another film, maybe do something different... I don't know... A lot of action.
How do you think your friends and family would react towards the app?
My friends have been congratulating me and in family, my cousin sister called it sick and amazing.
Which Bollywood actress can be called the woman of substance today?
Lot of them. I think Shabana Azmi, Waheeda Rahman, Jaya Bachchan.
Don't you find anyone from the contemporaries?
There's a lot for us to do before we can be called substantial.
What is your go-to look? Something that you can wear anytime...
Black shirt, black jeans and red lipstick.
