Gulshan Devaiah: If sexuality or explicit scenes are a necessity in HUNTERRR 2, then we will have it
Giving reference to his character in HUNTERRR, Gulshan explains, “If you see Mandar’s character in the film HUNTERR, he just wants to have physical intimacy with women. He is more interested in that, than emotional intimacy. Basically he is ridden with inferiority complex that being not-so good looking, women will reject him. So his primary objective becomes to sleep around with as many women and be a stud. When we have such type of characters, under these circumstances we have to objectify women to an extent, because of the story. If the script demands, then you will have to do it. Because it’s as per character’s outlook. If the story is about eve teasing or a Casanova, women will be objectified.”
“But this objectification, sexuality or eroticism should be there till the extent the story requires not beyond that. Like a raunchy item number, which is forcibly added in the movie, doesn’t make sense,” he adds in the same vein. Also Read - Why is Gulshan Devaiah embarrassed?
Now that he is gearing up for the part two of HUNTERRR, probe Gulshan if the sequel will be bolder and go a step ahead than the first film and he says, “It has to be better than the first film but it’s not about explicit scenes or sexy visuals or incorporating more women. These aspects may be used in the film, however ultimately the core of the story will work and that is more important. Even we are concerned about that. But if sexuality or explicit scenes are a necessity in HUNTERRR 2, then we will have it otherwise not.”
Well, Gulshan we appreciate your sensibilities.
