Nawazuddin Siddiqui starrer HARAAMKHOR is a success according to its makers. The production house has even celebrated it with a press conference today. Will the RAEES villain finally get his pay?...Find out.

According to reports in a leading daily Nawazuddin Siddiqui charged only Re 1 for the Shlok Sharma-directed movie based on student-teacher romance that also starred Shweta Tripathi. The report said that Nawazuddin Siddiqui let go his fees citing ‘budgetary limitations’ the reason.
Now Nawaz can claim his remuneration since it’s a profitable venture. But there is a catch, according to our sources; there are different opinions on the movie’s touted 1 core club entry story.

While the makers have happily tweeted about the movie entering the 1 core club, a veteran trade analyst on the condition of anonymity says that the movie’s box office collection is around 12 to 15 %.

Even if we take 50 lakhs in total that includes making, print, publicity and digital conversion the above mentioned percentage will not even help them to cover its cost.

However co-producer Shikhya Entertainment had claimed a 1 crore box office weekend collection by giving a break up of 23.7 lakh, 35.6 lakh and 41.9 lakh in its three days. If we go by the makers then HARAAMKHOR will at the most add another core to its booty making it 2 cores. Now comes the killing twist, according to a source close in trade, Nawazuddin Siddiqui charges around 2 cores as remuneration fees for movies and that will be this pseudo intellectuals hailed HARAAMKHOR’s all-time collection.
Obviously, in all goodness, the producers won't shed the entire 2 cores to Nawazuddin Siddiqui – that cannot happen as the distributors share still needs to be deducted. Even if Nawazuddin Siddiqui gets half his remuneration 1 core or even less 75 lakhs then after deduction the producers will get a peanut share of 25 lakhs maximum.

Was this touted art house destined to have a celebration of Rs. 25 lakhs starring an actor that reportedly charges 2 core minimum for a movie?
And unfortunately if Nawazuddin Siddiqui doesn't get any ‘monetary’ benefit from this so called commercial achievement of the film even after his reported generous gesture then ethically what success are we talking about?
