Holi – the festival of colour, celebration, joy and fun is round the corner. Let’s check out how Bollywood’s top brass - Salman Khan, Katrina Kaif, Alia Bhatt, Varun Dhawan, Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Anushka Sharma etc, etc will be celebrating.
In the good old days Bollywood had a flamboyant and completely ‘bindass’ (care free) way of celebrating Holi with colours (yes that ‘colour’ which we avoid), booze, bhang, naach gana and water tank filled with colours where everybody was thrown in that tank filled with Holi, and its spirit. The celebrations at R.K. Studios, B.R. Chopra, Yash Chopra, Amitabh Bachchan, Subash Ghai, where the acclaimed centers where even media reporters were not sparred, photographers remained the only survivors due to their cameras hanging over their neck.
Things have now changed and everything is meant for promotion so in the spirit of Holi, we had made an imaginary list of how Bollywood’s A– List will be celebrating the festival of colours this year.
BADRINATH KI DULHANIA MOVIE STILLS
Varun Dhawan and Alia Bhatt
With BADRINATH KI DULHANIA making the audience happy, Bollywood’s most endearing young Jodi will be celebrating HOLI with double joy as the movie is likely to rake in around 14–15 crores on day one smashing its franchise record and listing itself amongst Bollywood’s top day grosser of the year.
Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif
Bollywood’s hotness quotient and alleged ex flames are reuniting with TIGER ZINDA HAI - the sequel to EK THA TIGER. Shoot will begin in the most chilling conditions in Austria from March 15, so just before the challenge both Salman and Katrina can sing ‘balam pichakari’ together, celebrate Holi, sort out their difference and become BFF forever by following the Holi spirit and burying their hatches if any.
This beauty is getting naughty day by day as the release of her awaited PHILLAURI is nearing. The actress who raised the ‘bindass’ free willing quotient to a another level in AE DIL HAI MUSHKIL making the audience falling in love with her on screen character in the film, is already making monkey of top comedians like Kapil Sharma and haunting as a ghost in Indian weddings can very well play Holi with anyone coming as ghost and taking everyone by surprise and/or scare.
Without the mention of Bollywood’s Holi (read Holy, blessed) dancer this celebration is incomplete as the mass entertainer of the 90’s is making a comeback in his trademark swag in AA GAYA HERO which is releasing next week.
The care free good old days of Holi celebration in Bollywood won’t be back but the spirit of this festival to forget and forgive the misdoings, wrongs happened and rejuvenate with fresh colours and joy is the need for all of us.
