How Aamir Khan's daughter fools around in his absence
All cinephiles are waiting with bated breath for Aamir Khan’s next DANGAL. Mr. Perfectionist will be seen portraying the role of a wrestler Mahavir Phogat in the film, who trains his daughters Geeta and Babita Phogat to become professional wrestlers.
The two songs of the film that were released earlier gave us a glimpse of Phogat sisters’ journey from being trained under the supervision of their super- strict father in ‘Haanikaarak Baapu’ to reaping the fruits of their hard work in ‘Dhaakad’.
Each song gave us an insight into the life of these characters. Now a new facet of the film’s storyline is revealed in its new song ‘Gilehriyaan’. In this song we see Mahavir’s elder daughter Geeta experiencing a new phase in her life as she leaves her village and father to get coached in the wrestling institute.
Through ‘Gilehriyaan’ we witness how Geeta reacts to the freedom she experiences in her life for the very first time. Away from her overtly strict father Mahavir, Geeta indulges in simple girly things like eating pani-puri, applying nail polish, taking care of her looks, dancing with friends and enjoying men’s attention, which otherwise she wouldn’t have been able to do under the scrutiny of her stringent father.
On other side we see Mahavir realizing that his daughter’s focus from wrestling is diverting, he feels the growing distance between him and Geeta. We also see Geeta’s younger sister nurturing the dream of joining the coveted institute, like her sister for further training while Mahavir is unhappy with his other daughter’s eagerness to leave his coaching so soon.
The song features Fatima Sana Shaikh and Sanya Malhotra, who play Geeta & Babita Phogat in DANGAL. ‘Gilehriyaan’ shows us yet another facet of the Phogat sisters’ life. The song has a very feel-good vibe to it. Jonita Gandhi’s vocals are soothing, and we are sure you will definitely fall in love with this song.
