Jackie Chan and Constance Wu to retell the story of ‘One Thousand and One Nights’

Sony Pictures Animation have roped in legendary Chinese actor Jackie Chan and 'Fresh Off The Boat' actress Constance Wu to lend their voices for their upcoming film which will be a modern retelling of the old ‘One Thousand and One Nights’ tales titled WISH DRAGON.
 
This project will be directed by Chris Appelhans with John Cho and 'Silicon Valley‘s' Jimmy O. Yang in talks to possibly join the film.
 
Jackie Chan has already worked in animated films in KUNG FU PANDA series which was loved and appreciated worldwide where Jackie portrayed the role of a Monkey Kung Fu master.
 
Constance Wu made a name for herself in the sitcom 'Fresh off the boat' and recently was named on the annual Time 100 list of the most influential people in the world.
 
Aron Warner is set to produce the film with Chris Bremble, while Ian Sugarman as executive producers on the project.
 
The studio is aiming for a 2019 theatrical release.
