Till about a few hours before shooting at the airport with the SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE kids, Jackky Bhagnani was completely in dark about the sequence of events that would follow. Apparently Vashu Bhagnani, his father and producer of his launchpad KAL KISSNE DEKHA, organized the shoot entirely by himself and once everything was formalized, summoned him at the airport.
''Imagine my surprise when I was told that there was a crew waiting at the Mumbai airport and I had to reach their pronto and get into the act. Furthermore, I was told at the last moment that the shoot will also include an appearance by SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE kids Azharuddin Mohammed Ismail (youngest Saleem) and Rubina Ali (youngest Latika) who would be playing themselves. I was totally zapped'', says Jackky who shot till late Tuesday night for the shoot of the action sequence. CHECK OUT: Jackky Bhagnani gives his first LIVE performance
Though it was meant to be a hush-hush shoot, apparently media got hold of the event and there was a massive rush at the airport.
''We had to be very careful about the shoot. Everyone's security had to be looked after. Due to the unfortunate attack on the Sri Lankan cricketers, the security was quite tight as well and we couldn't have afforded to make it all the more chaotic. But yes, let me certainly add that it was great fun shooting with Azhar and Rubina. They were always up to some naughty act or other and we were constantly on our toes since the shoot had to be finished in a stipulated time frame'', informs Jackky.
He can't help but smile at the pleasant surprise that his dad gave him though. ''It's a unique gift from a father to his son. The sequence was always there in the script but the SLUMDOG MILLIONAIRE kids being present at the airport was a last minute inclusion. I had no inkling that dad was thinking on these lines and finally when he explained to me the entire scene and the changes that were made, I was pleasantly shocked.''
