Janhvi Kapoor opens up about her mom Sridevi!

Janhvi Kapoor is making her debut with DHADAK, which is a remake of popular Marathi film SAIRAT.

As she is busy promoting the film, Janhvi is excited as well as nervous as there are hardly few days for her film to release.
As Janhvi always dreamt of being an actor, her mother too wanted her to outshine herself and create a mark in Bollywood. As Janhvi is kick-starting her career, comparisons of her with Sridevi are bound to happen.

When asked Janhvi how would she take the comparisons between her and her mother, Janhvi said, “I am not worried, but I think mom was always worried about the comparison because she always felt that she has done 400 films and I will be compared with my very first film to her. It was a big concern for her. But for me, I was clear that I didn’t want to act like her, I just wanted to act my characters with all honesty. All I want is to earn all the love, respect and adulation she got from her fans. I want to make them happy with my work.”

On being asked if she ever the thought of making a debut with original script to which she said, “ I always wanted to become an actor and I did study acting too, yes there was a time wherein I didn’t ant to be an actor, but that was just a phase, I am not a huge star that I would be offered many scripts. I am not foolish to even think like that. I feel blessed to have Shashank, Ishaan and Karan in my life. DHADAK gave my life a meaning. What better I can get?, I was offered this and this is the biggest opportunity anyone could want to start.”

Janhvi has been paparazzi’s favourite before she made her debut, talking about all the attention she said, “I think it’s flattering that I am getting all attention but I haven’t earned anything. Whatever attention I have been getting is because of my parents and now DHADAK. At times you feel like your privacy has been compromised but if that’s the price I have to pay in an opportunity like this then I would it 100 times over. I just hope that after this movie, people feel that maybe I have done something to earn it on my own.”

DHADAK will hit the screens on 20 July 2018.
