The handsome model-turned-actor, Jason Lewis, is as comfortable on the sets at Film City, Mumbai, as he is in Hollywood.
The six feet-plus Lewis earned his popularity with a television series titled "Sex And The City", aired on HBO channel. He played Samantha's younger lover in it. Sitting -- with his natural charisma and brooding good looks -- on the sets of Film City, Mumbai, he looked quite at ease.
"This is my first visit to Mumbai, and I must say I'm extremely delighted to meet the Indian team as they are cooperative and understanding," Jason told IANS.
He is playing the lead role opposite Kashmera Shah in the film "My Bollywood Bride". He plays Alex, a novelist from the US, who falls in love with an Indian beauty and follows her to India.
With just a photograph of his heartthrob, he hunts for her with help from a cabbie and when he finds her, he is surprised to see her in a fa?ade he never imagined -- that of a Bollywood actress.
And then... will he or will he not win his love is what the film is all about.
Lewis, on the right side of thirties, got a chance to do some commercial modelling when in Paris. That set the ball rolling. He joined a workshop in acting and has featured in many serials. His fortune rose after appearing in almost 20 episodes of "Sex And The City".
He revealed that Indian actors like Sanjay Suri and Gulshan Grover would also feature in this popular TV series.
When not acting or walking the ramp, Lewis loves to write -- a passion from his childhood days. And while holidaying, he loves surfing, scuba diving or skiing in California.
On his present assignment, he noted: "I took up this project as I really freaked out on the subject -- if it was not for the interesting script, I would have never put my hands in this project.
"I have not seen any Bollywood films but Sanjay Suri gave me the DVD of 'Jhankar Beats' and I loved the presentation and the story. I think I'm gonna have fun in Bollywood!" he gushed.
