This is not the first time PARMANU: THE STORY OF POKHRAN has been delayed. In fact the ilm has been postponed copious times, leaving the trade circle and cinegoers puzzled. Originally, the film was scheduled to hit the screens on December 8, 2017 but it got shifted to February 23, 2018 as the makers of this film didn’t want to clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s PADMAAVAT, which was earlier scheduled to release on December 1, 2017.

Later on it was scheduled to release during 'Holi' on March 2 along with Anushka Sharma’s PARI but it was again pushed ahead to April 4. Further it got pushed yet again to May 4, 2018 and then till further notice due to some issues between KriArj Entertainment and actor John Abraham.

Now it seems like the issues between the two has been resolved and the movie is also ready too. Let’s hope Abhishek Sharma directed PARMANU: THE STORY OF POKHRAN releases smoothly without any further issues on May 25, 2018.

PARMANU: THE STORY OF POKHRAN is based on India's first successful nuclear tests that were conducted in Pokhran, Rajasthan, in 1998.
