John Abraham’s PARMANU postponed yet gain; to clash with Anushka Sharma’s PARI!
Just after Akshay Kumar’s announcement on changing PAD MAN’s release date from Jan 25 to Feb 9 which makes Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s PADMAAVAT a solo Republic weekend release, now John Abraham and Diana Penty (COCKTAIL fame) have announced revised release date of their upcoming flick PARMANU: THE STORY OF POKHRAN.
Both the stars of the movie took to a micro-blogging site to make their announcements:
This is not the first time PARMANU: THE STORY OF POKHRAN has been postponed. Earlier, it was scheduled to release on December 8, 2017 first but then got shifted to February 23, 2018 as the makers of this film didn’t want to clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s PADMAAVAT, which was earlier scheduled to release on December 1, 2017.
But as soon as Akshay Kumar announced the new release date of PAD MAN, the makers of PARMANU decided to release their film during Holi. What’s more interesting is that Anushka Sharma’s PARI is also releasing on the same day and both the movies are produced by KriArj Entertainment.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, PARMANU:THE STORY OF POKHRAN is based on India's first successful nuclear tests that were conducted in Pokhran, Rajasthan, in 1998.
It has to be seen if these two films affect each other’s business upon their release or do they both turn out to be a success considering the fact that both the films are of entirely two different genres.
