This is the fourth time PARMANU: THE STORY OF POKHRAN has been postponed. Earlier the film was scheduled to hit the screens on December 8, 2017 but later it got shifted to February 23, 2018 as the makers of this film didn’t want to clash with Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s PADMAAVAT, which was earlier scheduled to release on December 1, 2017. Later on it was scheduled to release during 'holi' on March 2 along with Anushka Sharma’s PARI but it has been pushed ahead yet again. With this, Anushka Sharma's PARI will be the solo release now to enjoy the Holi weekend.
Directed by Abhishek Sharma, PARMANU:THE STORY OF POKHRAN is based on India's first successful nuclear tests that were conducted in Pokhran, Rajasthan, in 1998.
