The new release of the week, John Abraham’s PARMANU-THE STORY OF POKHRAN, started on a fair note (15-20 percent), but picked up slightly during the latter shows. Given the positive word-of-mouth, reviews and patriotism raising content, the film has bright chances of succeeding at the turnstile, touché wood!
The other release of the week, Danny’s BIOSCOPEWALA, saw limited patronage at select cinemas.
Meanwhile, the Meghna Gulzar directed Alia Bhatt starrer, RAAZI, saw a rock steady second week (34 crore), thus netting 91 crore (to be validated) in two weeks from India and is a super hit, and looks good for another 15-20 crore. RAAZI is also a good overseas hit, grossing well over $4m.
