Kapil Sharma's KKPK impresses, Imran-Kangana's KATTI BATTI fails!
The new release of the week, United Seven’s Abbas-Mustan directed Kapil Sharma starrer, KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON, saw a surprisingly good start at the ticket window. The film opened to an impressive 35 percent (on an average) start during the morning shows and the collections picked up substantially during the latter part of the day. What augers well for the film is the fact that majority of the reputed critics (who influence the audience) have praised the film, and more importantly, the paying public and the families are enjoying the film, which is the safest barometer for predicting a probable success, if not hit, more so given the 14-15 budget.

The remaining prominent releases, Madhur Bhandarkar’s CALENDAR GIRLS as well as the Kunal Khemu starrer BHAAG JOHNNY, have made little or no impact at the ticket window. Also Read - KIS KISKO PYAAR KAROON MOVIE REVIEW
Meanwhile last week’s Nikhil Advani directed Imran-Kangana starrer, KATTI BATTI, has turned out to be a failure netting just 21-22 crore during the opening week from India.
Unfortunately another Nikhil Advani venture, the Sooraj Pancholi and Athiya Shetty starrer, HERO, has also failed at the box-office. The film crashed in the second week managing just 3 crore and thus netting 34 crore (to be validated) in two weeks from India.
