Filmmaker Karan Johar was invited to grace the unveiling of the second poster of SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI, which presents the lead pair Boman Irani and Farah Khan as Shahrukh Khan and Kajol from Kjo's film KUCH KUCH HOTA HAI.

Karan was quite glad to have a glimpse of his own film, which was made some 14-15 years back. ''It feels great. I never thought I would see these visuals again after 14-15 years,'' Karan gets nostalgic.

Karan was all praise for director Bela Sehgal's unusual concept and casting. He even went on to say that Farah Khan (choreographer & filmmaker-turned-actor) is the apt choice for the film.

He says, ''It's an unusual love story. Bela Sehgal has beautifully conceptualized the film. I think Farah and Boman are shining stars of this industry. We all know how great an actor Boman Irani is but Farah's casting in this film was an ideal one. Both Farah and Boman make a good pair on-screen. And Farah, who is more Parsi by heart, well fitted the role.''

However, Karan is not really keen on making legendary love sagas. As he thinks they have been already told by filmmakers and he finds them less interesting.

Karan says, ''I am not really keen on making legendary love stories. As lot has been done in this area. Films have already been made on Heer-Ranjha, Laila-Majnu, Romeo-Juliet. I don't think history inspires me, I would rather create stories.''

''There is more drama in real life than on reel life. Films are more subtle...We quite make subtle films. There is lot of drama which happens off-screen,'' he adds on a sarcastic note.

Ask Karan, like Farah, even he has plans to get into acting and he says, ''No at all. I can't be an actor''

Produced by Sanjay Leela Bhansali, SHIRIN FARHAD KI TOH NIKAL PADI is all set to hit the screens on August 24, 2012.
