Few days back Shahid Kapoor’s wife Mira Rajput’s comment on working women and being proud of ‘house wife’ tag earned her lot of flak. Some people attributed her comments to be directed at Kareena Kapoor who gave birth to her first child Taimur in December last year. And surprisingly within few days after her delivery she was seen hanging out and partying with her friends.
During an interview with a leading daily Kareena was asked about her opinion on it, and she was quoted saying as, “What kind of a mother I am is something that will unfold with time. I will not scream from rooftops about experiencing motherhood or how much I love Taimur. There’s always the pressure of being judged, no matter what you do. It’s about how you deal with it. Every pregnancy and every mother’s journey with her child during those nine months and afterwards is different. You can’t draw parallels. No one out there really knows me or what I am feeling at a given time. How can anyone decide on my behalf whether I am supposed to feel depressed or if I can step out before 45 days? If I’m spoken about like that, what would it be like for other women?”
Well we must say that Kareena Kapoor’s opinion is absolutely right because the journey of every mother is different. And all mothers love their children be it a working mother or a house wife. So working women should not be looked down upon for giving less time to their kids.
