PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2 is one of those movies that has not only received good BO collections, but has also been liked by most people for the dialogues, especially the ‘problem kya hai’ monologue. However, with this movie also, we heard some reviews where PKP2 was termed pro-men and even misogynistic.

We happened to contact PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA and now PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2 star Kartik Aaryan and exclusively spoke to him regarding the same.

When we asked him what does he think about the movie and the monologue being termed misogynistic, Kartik Aaryan said, “Yes it is (misogynistic). I won’t lie. The monologue is a little anti-women, but again it’s up to the audience to accept the fact that this isn’t a serious film. It’s a funny film with a hilarious take on relationships and that shouldn’t be taken personally. The meaning is different here. Some relationships may face the movie situation in real life while some may not. In our film, the three girls are the villains in our life. Yes our movie has feministic scenes. It does get misogynistic, but that is in the journey of the three characters. “

He further adds, “If there was a fourth girl, it isn’t necessary that she would be the same and then the story might be different. The story shapes up like this because the three girls are like that. PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2 is not a love story. People are enjoying it and I also enjoyed working in it. So I don’t think this film should be taken seriously. Yes, our film is misogynistic but it isn’t conveying any message as such.”
