Sonam Kapoor, the fashionista of Bollywood, never fails to wear the best of outfits she can. At the trailer launch yesterday she looked drop dead gorgeous wearing a snow white gown and looked surreal, she always looks pretty.
As the film VEERE DI WEDDING talks about four girls dealing with relationship and marriage, Sonam, who is all set to take nuptial vows, next month was asked if she would be working post marriage as Kareena Kapoor Khan set a trend by working post marriage.
Well, Sonam Kapoor took an unexpected reference with Shahid Kapoor and said, “Why aren’t men asked something like this?” She gave the example of Shahid Kapoor and slammed stereotypes and the media for not asking the same when he got married to Delhi based Mira Rajput or when he became a father. “Nobody will ask a man these questions. But why is a woman always asked these questions? Shahid Kapoor ki shaadi ho gai hain, kisine unse poocha if he’s going to work or not work? This misogynistic mindset is what needs to change and hopefully with films like this VEERE DI WEDDING, something changes.”
Well this happened because Shahid Kapoor and his wife Mira Rajput Kapoor appeared on the grand finale of Neha Dhupia's show 'BFFs with Vogue' and confessed something stark about Sonam saying, “I have worked with actresses, who I feel worry more about the costumes than their characters, and I’m happy that it’s changing now.”
