Varun Dhawan is an actor who hasn’t had a single flop in his career since his first film STUDENT OF THE YEAR. Varun who was last seen in JUDWAA 2 was appreciated widely for his comic timing and stepping in the shoes of Salman Khan with the remake. And now for the first time Varun is doing a film with ace filmmaker Shoojit Sircar, who has made prominent films like PIKU, PINK and many more.
Varun is known for comedy films and has made sure he makes people laugh. He will now be seen in a serious romantic drama with OCTOBER directed by Shoojit Sicar.
At the trailer launch of OCTOBER, Varun’s fans had come to cheer for him and the heart throb of the nation was humble enough to greet all his fans personally and took a snap with them.
At the event Varun spoke about why he was jealous of Ayushmann Khurrana and what made him approach Shoojit Sircar for the movie, and how did he prepare for the role.
Varun said, “I have watched all the films of Shoojit da, and I was fond of his work. I wanted to work with him. After two films that went well of mine, I got the courage to talk to him. I was very jealous of Ayushmann that he got to do VICKY DONOR. I wanted this film more than the film wanted me.”
Furthermore talking about working with Shoojit, He added, “It was a dream come true. He just told me to be me. I am a loud actor and a loud person and when I met him for the first time he told me to be me and in this film I was Varun, a person everyone would connect.”
“My hairs were in a mess, clothes wouldn’t be ironed. the entire 37 days shooting taught me a lot. I now speak softly,” ends Varun.
