Remember the talented Kushan Nandy, the estranged son of Pritish Nandy who had last produced and directed an intriguing thriller, 88 ANTOP HILL? Well, Kushan is now ready with his next film, HUMDUM, which his associate Himanshu Pathak defines as an emotional entertainer. The film is scheduled for a January 20 release and is once again being produced by him and his partner, Kiran Shroff, (the niece of reputed distributor Shyam Shroff), for their banner, Sarvodaya Visuals.
According to Pathak, the film will introduce two promising newcomers from the advertising world, Romit Raaj, who is a popular face in advertising and was last seen in the H.D.F.C. ad, and Anjana Sukhani, the girl with Aamir Khan in the 'paanch' Coke ad. The two underwent a special course in acting and were specially groomed for this launch pad at the behest of Kushan, who has great expectations from the film. The bigger USP of the film however is the fact that it will portray a reality-based game show for the first ever time on the big screen. "The story itself is based on the game show and what transpires behind the scenes," says Pathak.
Kushan who is sparing no efforts in giving his level best to the film, is currently negotiating with two leading music channels, which have evinced a keen interest in co-producing the film. The film also has the endorsement of Shringar Distributors, who will be releasing it in the Mumbai territory.
