Lull before the storm as audience awaits RA.ONE!
Post BODYGUARD and MERE BROTHER KI DULHAN, Bollywood's purple patch seems to have hit a rough patch for now. Three biggies, MAUSAM, FORCE and RASCALS have failed to capitalize on their pre-release hype and initial and are more or less commercial failures.

Even this week's new releases, the lavishly mounted thriller AAZAAN, Yash Raj's MUJHSE FRAAANDSHIP KAROGE, Nagesh Kukunoor's MOD, JO DOOBA SO PAAR - IT'S LOVE IN BIHAR and Sanjay Leela Bhansali's MY FRIEND PINTO have ordinary collections to show. Surprisingly it is Yash Raj's MFK which has got the best collections (though just 20 percent) to show, emphasizing once again that the actual cinema going audience consist of GenX and 15-25 year old brigade, who preferred to see the film instead of the other releases.

When we spoke to one of India's leading trade expert he said, "It is never a wise decision to release films just before or after a big budget top star cast project. It is the lull before the storm as the audience is keenly awaiting the 'Diwali' blockbuster RA.ONE."
Well, given the super response to the intelligent and apt 60 second teaser (unveiled just a day or so back), that encapsulates the entire concept of RA.ONE, we are not surprised!
