Last month, Vishesh Films announced about their much-awaited project, that is sequel to 1991 superhit SADAK starring Sanjay Dutt and Pooja Bhatt. Hold your breadth as makers have officially announced the release date and cast for the film SADAK 2 now. Sanjay and Pooja will reprise their role and finally we'll be seeing Mahesh Bhatt to direct his youngest daughter Alia Bhatt, she will be paired opposite Aditya Roy Kapur. Previously Alia and Aditya were seen sharing space in DEAR ZINDAGI but Aditya had a cameo in it, but they'll be seen together romancing in a full feature film.

As it's Mahesh Bhatt's 70th birthday today, Alia took it to twitter to wish her 'Not so old man' (Father), and also thanked him that he'll be directing her for the first time. The film was announced by Vishesh Films a month ago and was set to release in November 2019 but today they unveiled a small teaser announcing the cast along with the confirmed release date, that is 25th March 2020.

Sanjay, who is extremely close to Bhatt, reunites with him 23 years after GUMRAAH. Aditya, on the other hand, returns to Vishesh Films after doing 2013 hit AASHIQUI 2. Mahesh Bhatt, who celebrates his 70th birthday today, describes this new journey, in a statement, he said, “As I step into the sunset years of my life, the last act, there’s something that has happened to me. Never in my wildest dreams did I think that I will ever hear the words — a Mahesh Bhatt film — mentioned around me again. Alia used to say, ‘Papa, make a film’. And I would tell her that I am like an extinct volcano. But then, suddenly one day, the volcano was rumbling. You know, they say that autumn is another spring, so as I go into my autumn years, it’s the process of what is called decomposition or decay, that too is a way of life.”

Alia is now back in India after wrapping up BRAHMASTRA with actor-boyfriend Ranbir Kapoor in Bulgaria. Alia is also shooting for another Karan Johar film, KALANK which also stars, Varun Dhawan, Madhuri Dixit, Sanjay Dutt, Kriti Sanon and Aditya Roy Kapur.
