Renowned Marathi actor Ramesh Bhatkar passes away

Renowned Marathi actor Ramesh Bhatkar ended his battle with cancer today by breathing his last at the Elizabeth Hospital in Mumbai.

Well-known for his roles in the TV series COMMANDER and HELLO INSPECTOR Ramesh Bhatkar  was 70. Ramesh Bhatkar’s was surrounded by his family and close friends during his last moment.

Son of Snehal (Vasudeo) Bhatkar, a music director, composer, and singer, Ramesh Bhatkar in his college days was a champion swimmer. Ramesh Bhatkar began his career as an actor with Marathi film CHANDOBA CHANDOBA BHAGLAAS KA. Many people still remember him as the cop in HELLO INSPECTOR.

In an illustrated career spanning 28 years, Ramesh Bhatkar recently worked on Marathi TV in 100 DAYS and MAZHE PATI SOUBHAGYAVATI. He was also seen in popular television crime series CRIME PETROL. Ramesh Bhatkar was also active in theatre and is known for ASHROONCHI ZAALI PHULE.

Ramesh Bhatkar is survived by his wife Mrudula and son Harshavardhan Bhatkar.
