MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT: Movie An action bonanza to die for
What a spectacle!!!, the best action adventure to churn in recent years, the best of MISSION IMPOSSIBLE (MI) series till date, that makes it ‘possible’ for Tom Cruise to reclaim his crown as an action hero.
Staying true to all the elements of a terrific, mind blowing, eye rolling action that pumps up your adrenaline rush faster than a bullet train, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT, the sixth installment of the MI series by director Christopher McQuarrie, having Tom Cruise playing Ethan Hunt for the sixth time, sees the joy of Ethan Hunt hitting the ball out of the mark time and again over here with its insane action serving a delight for action buffs all over.
If we go to the extent and say that this particular installment is perfect for an Indian adaptation then it won’t be an exaggeration. MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - FALLOUT is so outstanding and universally appealing as an action feast.
Without wasting anytime, director Christopher McQuarrie begins directly from the previous MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – ROGUE NATION. Opens in a grimy alleyway Ethan Hunt (Tom Cruise), Benji (Simon Pegg) and Luther (Ving Rhame) meet. Its race against time for Ethan and his IMF team with Alec Baldwin the boss along with familiar allies (Rebecca Ferguson, Michelle Monaghan). Henry Cavill, Angela Bassett, and Vanessa Kirby are the new entries in the sixth installment.
Even if you are not familiar with MI, no issues, just that a group called Apostles wants to create havoc is all that you need to know. The action is in Paris, Kashmir (yes, no matter our dear CBFC not willing in letting the audience know) and things move in jet speed and amazingly with a rhythm that is very rare in action movies nowadays, plus there is a plot. Bingo, you are trapped in this adrenaline rush that has the most breathtaking action sequences seen in recent times. The action sequence in Paris, the helicopter sequence and more, the helicopter sequence where the 56 year old Tom Cruise as Ethan defies age, the common belief of machismo is enough for your ticket’s worth.
Certainly Christopher McQuarrie and his crew –cinematographer Rob Hardy and editor Eddie Hamilton set a benchmark in action. It looks like a well-choreographed opera where we run, fall and fight with Ethan Hunt. You will be gasping, feeling the nervousness in those cliff-hanging moments of pure action that comes from a classic.
We have superheroes to save the world, In those spy adventures James Bond did it for the Queen of England, it was a personal quest for Jason Bourne and for our dear Ethan Hunt, its about his friends and his team, the emotional connect that sometimes results in more danger is what makes Ethan Hunt so adorable and the most reliable man during crisis, the enemies often call him the character with a ‘fundamental default’ cause he is human.
In this year of remarkable sequels right from AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR, INCREDIBLES 2, DEADPOOL 2, MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE – FALLOUT turns special as it re-establishes the faith in those action movies like MAD MAX: FURY ROAD, DIE HARD, where the protagonist crosses all limits to deliver a knockout punch that is irresistible, this is undeniably the action bonanza to die for..
