Imagine this. You see your lover after a long time at your place and he's butchering your husband into pieces with an axe. At that very moment, you think of all the pleasant memories you had with him. This is actually a scene in this week's release, CHINAR DAASTAN-E-ISHQ.

Many instances are hard to believe and digest in the film and you keep wondering what the hell is going on. You don't know why Suraiyya's voice is forever gloomy while narrating the story. The length of the film is 112 minutes but it's such a drag that you feel it's a three-hour film. Some of the shots are tacky and jarringly edited. It's hard to believe how the film got a U/A certificate despite showing a slaughtered body with blood over the floor.
Only thing good about the film is some unintentionally funny moments.
Faissal Khan, making his acting comeback after many years, is decent but hams in some scenes. Inayat Sharma, Dalip Tahil, Shahbaz Khan, Pramod Moutho fail to leave any sort of impact.
CHINAR DAASTAN-E-ISHQ is unimpressive. They should've called it CHINAR DAASTAN-E-BORE.
