CHECK OUT: Movie Preview - Bol Bachchan
So, you think you can sing and that too with similar theatrical zing! After the magical success of actors turning singers in 'Senorita' (ZINDAGI NA MILEGI DOBARA) by triumphant trio (Shankar-Ehsaan-Loy), its Himesh Reshammiya turn to make booty shake and heads swinging to his style of composing, a number that not only glorifies the magnetism of Amitabh Bachchan's yesteryears histrionics but also delivers a 'word-of-publicity' to the flick BOL BACHCHAN in the title track 'Bol Bachchan'. It's nonsensical but still rhythmically rhyming to start with, where Bachchan Sr. rehashes his popular gibberish chattering (somewhat reminiscent to 'My Name is Anthony Gonsalves' (AMAR AKBAR ANTHONY)) while other two actors (Ajay Devgn and Abhishek Bachchan) retraces couple of his popular one-liners. Reshammiya's peppery composition has tangy and tuneful UP folksy base (somewhat similar to 'Chalat Musafir Moh Liya Re' (TEESRI KASAM)) with loads of jazz and rock elements embroiled in it, making it trendier for listeners. As far as qualitative analysis is concerned, this catchy number comes more like a humorous tete-a-tete between all three actors, a fun-loving chirpy 'item-number' with a potential comical quotient. Farhad-Sajid's 'street-smart' wordings are like 'tongue-in-cheek' dialogue-baazi that delivers ample dosages of hilarious on-screen moments. There is a dash of sensuous sounding 'Kajra Re' (BUNTY AUR BABLI) coming in Mamta Sharma's brief raunchy tones that connects well with the humor tinge of the track. In nutshell, its Amitabh Bachchan's impressive baritones in varying and frothy shades that leads this comical bandwagon with flair and makes this a sure-shot winner. 'Bol Bachchan (remix)' packs every pompous element of a typical 'club-remix' and entertains with its fervent musical feel, a commercially promising promotional feature. Chartbuster!!!
Himesh Reshammiya's soft-toned vocals get into UP folksy base and makes mood mushier in amiable sounding 'Chalao Na Naino Se Baan'. Like previous track, it has strong infectious catchy bygone era feel ('Bholi surat dil ke khote' (ALBELA)) in its signature tune that later connects well with added musical fun-elements (funky instrumentals, enthused vocals and chirpy lyrics). Shreya Ghoshal's smoothly ushered voice gives it a tender romantic feel that works with the supple situational feel. It's really playful in the catchy moods and flavors and would be really fun watching it on big screen. Massy to the core, Shabbir Ahmed's loquaciously impish wordings adds to the show and will be striking big in cow-belt (especially in UP regions); overall a potential 'masti' filled number that should rise to the occasion. 'Chalao Na Naino Se Baan (remix)' is a 'dhol' feisty 'club-remix' number. Catered for garish outings, it have the rigorous drumming, strident harmonium notes with energized disco-fillers as it's striking features that concocts well with singers appealing voice. Catchy!!!

Both the ladies, Asin and Prachi, are thrust into the plot without a proper game-plan and Asrani is mouthing inanities when he is cut out to do even better roles. You can't keep him in the 'angrezo ka zamano ka jailer' time zone all his life. Even the music is pedestrian.
CHECK OUT: BOL BACHCHAN - This way or that way GOLMAAL is the guiding motif
Director Rohit Shetty loses the plot and Abhishek Bachchan, playing the side-kick is a sad sight.
In short, BOL BACHCHAN is like a quickly put up 'after dinner play' which one indulges in during their growing-up years to entertain their parents.
