Actress turned director Divya Khosla Kumar proved her mettle with her hit debut venture YARIYAAN which not only introduced promising new faces but also boasted of some chartbusting music, popular till today. And one expects something on the same lines in the forthcoming youthful romantic venture, SANAM RE, especially with musicians like Mithoon, Jeet Ganguly and Amaal Malik at the helm of affairs.
|SANAM RE WALLPAPERS|
Epic Bhangra's 'Humne Pee Rakhee Hai' is a fun rap and hip hop party number (ode to party drinking ) that has become an integral part of all youthful romantic movies. The song is a heady mix (in spirit as well as tune) of quite few Bollywood chartbusters like 'Johnny Johnny' (ENTERTAINMENT) and 'Abhi Toh Party Shuru Huyi Hai' (KHOOBSURAT) sung by Jaz Dhami and Neha Kakkar and sounds entertaining as long as it lasts.
Mithoon and Ankit try to recreate the AASHIQUI 2 (and 'Banjara' EK VILLAIN lyrics wise) magic with 'Tere Liye' which is another very intense, very high pitched romantic ballad that gets rockish towards the fag end. The song does linger in the memory after its over thanks to some very good lyrics and nice crescendo singing.
Jeet Ganguly own version of the classic title song from Anubhav Sinha's TUM BIN, 'Tum Bin Jiya Jaaye Kaise' boasts of the 'surily' Shreya who is just eclectic in this heart touching 'roothna manana' number. The situational sad song has lovely Hindustani orchestrations and some simple lyrics that has touches of the retro feel to it.
Shaan shines in this lovely semi-philosophical Jeet Ganguly number, 'Chhote Chhote Tamashe' that has Kishore da style written all over it and the song teaches one to live life to the fullest and enjoy life as it comes.
To sum up, the audio album of Super T-Series' SANAM RE is without doubt the best of the year (and likely to remain so for a while in 2016) thus far! All the composers have put their best foot forward. Our picks, 'Sanam Re', 'Hua Hai Aaj Pehli Baar' and 'Tere Liye'. The superb music should play a positive part in this youthful romantic venture which releases all over this February.
