Nawazuddin Siddiqui has impressed one and all with his work (GANGS OF WASSEYPUR, BADLAPUR, BAJRANGI BHAIJAAN, MANJHI – THE MOUNTAIN MAN, THE LUNCH BOX). Nawaz has been one such actor who has worked with the three reigning khans Shah Rukh khan, Salman Khan and Aamir Khan. Despite achieving success, the star hasn’t shied away from taking up any subject. In fact he has not only done big budgeted films but also been part of low-budgeted ventures with much élan.

He will now be seen in HARAAMKHOR along with Shweta Tripathi which is based on teacher and student relationship. Although the movie was in troubled waters for its bold subject, but finally Censor Board gave its nod for the release.

HARAAMKHOR is a low budget film and not everyone knows that Nawaz did it for free. The entire team of HARAAMKHOR is showering praises on Nawaz’s kind act and performance.

Director Shlok Sharma said, “I am thankful to my actors Shweta Tripthi who did this film with ease.  While Nawazuddin didn’t charge a single penny for the film as he loved the subject and gave an instant nod.” Further praising the actor, Shlok adds, “When Nawaz would be tired or would feel hot, he would sit in the car as we didn’t have vanity van. But he had no starry tantrums at all.”

Even co-star Shweta Tripathi is in awe of Nawaz and praised him saying, “Nawaz gives so much respect to his co-stars. Even being so popular, he is down to earth. I have learnt from him that when I reach that level I will also treat my co-stars the same way. And the way he has enacted the scenes it’s truly commendable.”

“Yes Nawaz didn’t charge a single rupee for this film. Nawaz has given his career support to Shlok and me. As he liked the story, he only suggested, ‘I will support you guys.' It’s kind of him,” said producer Guneet Monga.
When we told Nawaz, how the team has been lapping up his kind gesture & performance, he too said, “If I like the script I will not look at the budget. I should like the film and I loved HARAAMKHOR, hence I decided to do it.”

Hereh’s wishing the HARAAMKHOR team all the very best!
