Having continuously entertained its audience through its light-hearted and fun plots, yet with an underlying sensitive and interesting concept of vasectomy, &TV’s Meri Hanikarak Biwi, is set to present an exciting new track. This marks the entry of an Aghori Baba in the show to be essayed by the popular television actor Praneet Bhatt, with an interesting quintessential look, style, and mannerism, bringing alive the traditional baba. Praneet is known for multiple memorable roles that he has played previously in the television industry and his participation in reality shows that have fetched him great recognition.
The narrative includes a back story wherein in the earlier years Pushpa had taken Akhilesh (Karan Suchak) as a child to the Aghori baba to cure his grave illness. In lieu of treating young Akhilesh and giving her son life, the baba asks Pushpa for a favor that he will ask for later when the right time comes. Pushpa agrees to this arrangement and many years pass. Now after almost 25 years in the present, the baba has arrived in Mumbai to seek his favor from Pushpa. The Aghori baba wants to expand his clan and wants Akhilesh to join the gang, which he refuses to do. In this threat to Akhilesh’s life, the Aghori baba agrees to let him go only if he can pass some tests. These unusual orders for Akhilesh posed by Aghori baba will create an interesting ruckus and comedy of errors for the Pandey family.
Sharing his experience and speaking about the show, Praneet said, “I started my telly journey in 2004 with small and cameo roles, but as we say, ‘hard work pays off’. I soon found myself with a lead role in hand. With this industry moving towards more open-minded concepts, Meri Hanikarak Biwi certainly makes an impression in the audience’s mind with such a sensitive and different topic. I have always wanted to explore more opportunities that intrigue and challenge me as an artist, and that’s why Meri Hanikarak Biwi was a perfect fit. I am excited to work with such an amazing cast, especially Jia and Karan. I hope the audience appreciates my new stint with &TV.”
