PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2 director Luv Ranjan on censorship: We have nothing offensive in the movie
Ask director Luv Ranjan, who made PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA and now PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2, if he had to face censorship issues and delete and/or edit some portions from PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2 and he says, "No, it’s a normal thing. Firstly, we aren't going for U/A but A certificate. When we have Adult certificate, then I don’t think there should be any problem. There isn’t anything offensive in the movie. Even when we are making fun, hum masti wala mazak uda rahe hai (we are simply having fun), like the 'pink' colour scene. So it’s a very behavioural comedy. We have taken the precaution of not hurting anybody’s sentiments while making fun. The comedy is on mannerisms. We imagined how people would behave."
When we asked Luv if he hasn't shown the movie to censor board, he said, "No. We have just started the promotions. Now the trend is that we will bring you the trailer, and after 15 days, we will show it to the censor board."
So we guess there's a longer wait to know if PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA 2 will clear the censor certification and retain the essence of PYAAR KA PUNCHNAMA, especially since the movie trailer has got thumbs up...
