RAEES, KAABIL prove that Amitabh Bachchan is the ultimate megastar
Amitabh (meaning the light that never goes off) is surely the inspiration, motivation for all the Khans and Roshans of Bollywood, no matter how RAEES (rich, successful) or KAABIL (capable, able, perfect) they become.
King Khan Shah Rukh Khan and Bollywood’s most handsome and best body dancer Hrithik Roshan are currently awed by the megastar – Mr. Bachchan’s words of praise to their film RAEES and KAABIL respectively
T 2515 - Congratulations Shahrukh .. RAEES .. loved your anger in it !! pic.twitter.com/cfRr24jz0n— Amitabh Bachchan (@SrBachchan) January 26, 2017
To which SRK replied
Aap se hi seekha hai sir. https://t.co/i7rG0gYsrn— Shah Rukh Khan (@iamsrk) January 26, 2017
gave a fan boy moment to Hrithik

Interestingly, Mr. Bachchan who has a strong influence on Bollywood actors' generations after generations is humbled to see his influence in the film. That turns out to be a humble tribute to the megastar’s iconic persona as an angry young man and the best anchor on India’s small screen that celebrated Mr. Bachchan’s irresistible deep baritone and impeccable command over Hindi in KBC.
In one of the scenes in RAEES, we see RAEES Alam (Shah Rukh Khan) threatening a mill owner for not paying his workers in an open theatre probably Mumbai’s drive–in of those times. In the background we see Yash Chopra’s 1979 classic KAALA PATTHAR playing on the screen in which Mr. Bachchan’s character – the iconic coal mine worker Vijay is threatening the cruel mill owner Seth Dhanraj (Prem Chopra) and as the intensity rises between RAEES and the mill owner, the same is seen on the screen where Mr. Bachchan in his famous baritone warns Prem Chopra.
In KAABIL, Hrithik Roshan plays a blind dubbing artist Rohan and in one of the scenes Hrithik imitates Mr. Bachchan’s baritone on phone to impress his wife Supriya (Yami Gautam) much to the delight of Yami on screen and the audience in theatres.
The icon of the icons is humbled to find his reference in the year’s first big clash. Whatever will be the result and whoever wins the ‘race’, Mr. Bachchan will remain the ‘baap’ of all. Shahenshah as always!!
